What Buyer Could Solve Macy's Problems?

Last summer, Macy's announced that it would close 100 stores in the U.S.

These closures are happening for two reasons - traffic in shopping malls has declined greatly as shopping has become more digital, and the company has valuable real estate it would like to sell off.

Apparently real estate isn't the only thing that's for sale, as Hudson's Bay has approached Macy's about a possible acquisition.

But there could be another company that's a better fit to take over the retail giant.

Business Insider's Eugene Kim explains why Amazon may be the best fit to take over Macy's.

Pozivamo Vas na interaktivni pravni praktikum u ZAGREBU:

Parnični postupak pred trgovačkim sudovima

konferencijska dvorana

Do 30% popusta za IUS-INFO pretplatnike! PRIJAVNICA

Stoga će iskusna predavačica i praktičar dr. sc.

TEME:

• Stvarna nadležnost trgovačkih sudova
• Kada trgovački sudovi primjenjuju posebna pravila
• Dodatna pravila o mjesnoj nadležnosti
• Posebna pravila o načinu pozivanja stranaka i međusobnoj razmjeni pismena
• Vrijednost predmeta spora
            - ako stranke nisu odredile
            - ovlasti sudskog savjetnika
            - određivanje visine štete po slobodnoj ocjeni
            - za sporove male vrijednosti
            - sudac pojedinac u žalbenom postupku
            - nedokumentirani platni nalog
            - za reviziju
• Presumirano povlačenje tužbe
• Posebni rokovi
            - prijedlog za povrat u prijašnje stanje
            - žalba
            - ispunjenje činidbe
• Isključena obveza suda da pruža pravnu pomoć neukoj stranci
• Teret dokazivanja
            - rokovi za prijedloge stranaka
            - način isticanja dokaznih prijedloga s naglasnom na svjedoke i vještake
• Načelo otvorenog pravosuđenja - prednosti i nedostatci

Kotizacija:

RESPECTED FRIENDS,

Did you know how the Bible is called referred to in Hebrew? People around the world recognize this book by its Christian name – the Old Testament. However, in Hebrew it has a completely different meaning. In Hebrew, the Old Testament is called Tanach , תָּנָ"ךְ, and it is actually an acronym. This acronym teaches us about the structure and continuity of the biblical story. Do you think you can guess what it stands for?
Sincerely,
.
Belkis Rogovsky

Lecturer of the Course “Exploring the Land of the Hebrew Bible”.
