MY FRIEND BARACK OBAMA
If Obamacare had passed just a few months earlier, my daughter, Courtney, would still be alive. But instead, I’ve spent the last seven years without the light of my life.Courtney was a Type 1 Diabetic, which is a pre-existing condition. After being kicked off her father’s insurance the day she graduated college, she tried rationing her insulin to offset the high costs of her medication. Her body couldn’t take this, and she slipped into a coma that she never woke from just months before the law was passed.By repealing Obamacare, Republicans are sentencing people like my daughter to death. Will you sign your name alongside mine and demand that Republicans end their attack on Obamacare? Health care should be a basic human right. But if the Republicans repeal Obamacare, 24 million Americans could become uninsured. Companies will again be able to discriminate based on pre-existing conditions. Young people will be kicked off their parents’ plans. Without Obamacare, nearly 36,OOO people like my daughter Courtney could die every year. No parent should have to go through what I did. Please donate Will you take a stand and condemn Trump and his Republicans’ assault on our health care?
