Mr. Michael Morrison President and Publisher U.S. General Books and Canada HarperCollins Publishers Dear Sir: With my whole heart I protest against your release of the blasphemous book The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus, by Dan O’Shannon. This book insults Our Lord Jesus Christ and is historically false. It also mocks His Redemptive Sacrifice on the Cross at Calvary. Both deserve better than the blasphemous, offensive treatment you have published in Mr. O’Shannon’s book. I urge you to recall this book from distribution now and to apologize to Catholics and all people of good will.      Thank you. America’s 2nd largest publisher, Harper Collins, is selling an impure and blasphemous book titled:    “The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus...”        This book is a blasphemous “comic” book of drawings about the Crucifixion.        Friends – a comic book?  About the Crucifixion? Can you imagine?          This is absolutely unacceptable! So, please. . .        Sign this protest message now to say:    I Protest! HarperCollins, stop publishing the book “The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus”        Fact:  HarperCollins Publishers, is the 2nd largest publisher in America. And they are promoting the book: Just look at how they advertise the book on their web page. (Bold print is mine) With the cheeky irreverence of Lamb and Go the F**k to Sleep, a full-color illustrated collection of hilarious, satirical cartoons featuring the wife of Jesus, from an executive producer of ABC’s Modern Family. Welcome to The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus: a wonderfully profane and inventive chronicle of the life of humankind’s most tragically overlooked spouse. Everyone has a cross to bear. Hers has her husband on it. To millions, Jesus is a teacher and an inspiring leader. To his wife, he’s the man who’s always out on the road, traveling across the country and hanging out with his pals. Now, this long-suffering wife is about to get her turn in the spotlight . . .      This is beyond the pale.  Far beyond.  So, please:    Click here to say:  I Protest! HarperCollins, stop publishing the book “The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus”        Will you?  I want to create a massive “brick” of protest messages – and mail it to Mr. Michael Morrison, President and Publisher, U.S. General Books and Canada at HarperCollins Publishers.        I hope this brick will contain yours and 100,000 other protests!          You and I must not remain silent!        I say this because when the author of this outrageous “comic” book, Dan O’Shannon, was asked if he had received any “negative blowback,” he said:   “The Catholic Church has remained silent…        Really?!! The Catholic Church has remained silent??          OK, I’m a Catholic and I WON’T REMAIN SILENT!        How about you?        And even the author admits that it’s offensive!   So why would a major publishing company publish a book they have every reason to believe will  offend over 68 million American Catholics and tens  of millions of other American Christians?        Here’s the answer:  they will do it because they don’t believe individuals like you will protest out of love for Our Lady. Respected friends, will you remain silent while this book is in stores, claiming that: JESUS HAD A WIFE. That’s a despicable lie!      And the Crucifixion is nothing to joke about.        Let’s tell HarperCollins: STOP Blaspheming Our Lord NOW!    I Protest! HarperCollins, stop publishing the book “The Adventures of Mrs. Jesus”        Let us peacefully and prayerfully protest and speak out against these assaults on Our Lord Jesus Christ.        God bless you!
