Fri-YAY!
ICYMI, There's new Kendrick out. What're you up to this weekend? We've got ideas. Um, we're DEF checking out all the new food in town. Eggslut breakfast sandwiches all the way from L.A. (couldn't you guess from the name?). Another Hide-Chan Ramen outpost... okay, not so new, but we're still hype. How about a wine & cheese tour inside some hidden caves in Brooklyn? Or a boozy tea party in a garden of cute li'l Pikachu plushies? If you think co-working is trendy, just wait until you see these uber hip co-living spaces. The MTA has finally abandoned their idea that taking away the subway's trash cans would stop people from bringing down their trash. Turns out, retiring abroad might be more lucrative than staying stateside... LOL retirement. Is YOLO still a thing?
If you haven’t already heard about these breakfast sandwiches, you’re about to.
Based in LA, chef Alvin Cailan is famous for his breakfast creations, which supposedly have his restaurants cracking over 2,000 eggs a day. That’s a whole lot of eggs. Well starting this Friday morning, those eggs are crackin’ in NYC at The Chefs Club Counter on the corner of Lafayette and Spring Streets. Even better, it’s considered an ‘anti-pop-up,’ so you can get the sandwiches even after Chef Cailan heads back west. As far as the idea behind the name goes... it’s LA, what can we say? If you’re a ramen enthusiast like us, you’ll know that Hide-Chan serves some of the best ramen Manhattan has to offer.
And what’s better than one Hide-Chan? Two of them a block away from each other of course! If you’ve been microwaving those disgraceful 25 cent cups that dare to call themselves ramen, you’ve seriously been depriving yourself of the good stuff. READ MORE…
If you’re one of those people that are still playing Pokémon GO, you’ll probably be pumped to hear that a Pikachu garden boozy tea party is going down tonight.
Guests will be invited to lay in a relaxing indoor garden surrounded by Pikachu plush toys and sip on spiked cups of tea. We know where we’re pre-gaming tonight. Ash and the crew would deff be proud. READ MORE…

So, the MTA wanted to reduce the amount of trash in our subway stations. Definitely not a bad idea. We’re here for it!
Except... they decided the way to do it was to get rid of trash cans completely in nearly 40 stations. What were they thinking? We’re not sure they were. But the good news is, we’re getting our trash cans back! This is definitely good, since everyone knows the lack of a trash can doesn’t stop people from leaving it there. If anything, littering probably increased...good one, MTA. Another L for the books. READ MORE…
If there’s one good thing coming out of 201, it’s Kendrick’s new music.
He dropped a brand new single last week, “The Heart Part IV,” and this week he’s at it again! Produced by Mike WiLL Made-It, “HUMBLE” is not only a total banger (per usual for the Compton rapper) but the video, directed by Dave Meyers, is also dope as hell. You’ve gotta check it out. And keep an eye out for Kendrick’s new album, which is rumored to drop April 7th. READ MORE…
Attention cheese heads!
This Saturday only, Crown Finish Caves, located at 925 Bergen Street underneath Crown Heights, is hosting a wine and cheese tasting. HAHAHA got’em! Yes, I’m sure you believed every second of it.
Regardless, there’s seriously a sh*t ton going on in the city this weekend. Personally, we’ll definitely be hitting up the opening of our first Wowfulls, the waffle-and-ice cream sensation taking over Instagram. If you don’t ‘gram it, did you really even get it? From there, well, we’ll probably shop around at the opening weekend of Brooklyn Flea, and then take it to the streets for a city-wide pillow fight! The opportunities are practically endless.
