Dear Reader,

Tomorrow is the first day of the "Interpreting Your Genetics Summit." I'm really excited about this event for a number of reasons, one of which is that it will challenge many prevailing assumptions about the power of your genes to control your health destiny.

Another reason I'm especially excited about this event is that it marks the first time my father, Sungchul Ji, PhD, has joined an event with me. He is a theoretical biologist, among other things, and was greatly influential in my intellectual development. He'll be throwing a unique context onto the often myopic perspectives that dominate modern day views on the structure and function of genes, drawing from the wave-particle duality in microphysics.

I'l be speaking about the powerful implications of non-coding RNAs -- the so-called "Dark Matter of the Human Genome" -- as it relates to themes such as food as information and cross-kingdom communication between plants and animals, andhow this opens up a new perspective on our interdependence within the web of life.

Joining us, along with your host, James Maskell, will be world-renowned leaders from genetics, genomics and functional medicine. These pioneering experts are on the front lines interpreting data to create improved health in patients around the globe. It’s time to join the movement to know who you are, and use that information to improve your health!
