Just when you think the summer season is slowly winding down, the best is yet to come. For this post-season, we have a special offer - sailing along one of the most gorgeous routes in Dalmatia. From the Pearl of the Adriatic, Dubrovnik to the untouched NP Mljet and spectacular Korčula Island, experience the best of what Croatia has to offer on this 7-day route.

shutterstock_dubrovnik_225406624

Starting from Dubrovnik, which has been enchanting sailors for centuries, you set sails to Lopud Island in the Elaphiti archipelago, famous for its water springs and lush, diverse vegetation, including exotic plants. Its white sand beaches and crescent shape make an idyllic spot for swimmers.

Croatia_Mljet_Pomena_shutterstock_133569071

The next day is reserved for sailing to the south of Mljet island, whose Saplunara Bay is one of the most beautiful, and guarantees safe anchorage and tranquility.
What follows is a real treat - sailing to the northern part of Mljet, where the breathtaking National Park Mljet is located. There are two lakes in this area, with the island of Sveta Marija situated in the larger one, which makes for a spectacular natural phenomenon.

mljet

But the route gets even more magical after you sail to the island of Lastovo, mooring in Zaklopatica lagoon. Its picturesque landscape and crystal water are perfect for swimming and snorkeling. Because of their abundant natural wealth, Lastovo and the surrounding islands have become a nature park.

The following day is reserved for Korčula, one of the most attractive Mediterranean islands. Apart from natural beauty, it offers many cultural and historic attractions, as well as a vibrant night life (just right across the marina is a cocktail bar, or you can enjoy good jazz at other bars nearby). Spending the day there will pass so fast, you will want to stay longer.

Korcula

Naturally, the last day is reserved for sailing back to Dubrovnik, so you can properly experience the rest of the city. Choosing this route is truly the best way to get the most out of your Croatian holiday!

Saffron: Ancient Healing Powers Confirmed by Science
by Sayer Ji, founder of GreenMedInfo
Clearly there is something magical about the Crocus sativus flower, from which the spice saffron is derived.  If its striking beauty does not immediately cast a spell on its beholder, often it simply takes experiencing the spice to fall into full enchantment with it.  While saffron is exceptionally expensive, because it takes approximately 150 flowers to yield just 1,000 mg (0.035 oz) of dry saffron threads, and costs approximately $1,000 a pound, it does not take much to have an effect.  Click to Read.
