RESPECTED FRIENDS,

Deadline Thursday: Stop fossil fuel development in the Grand Canyon and Bears Ears. Donate now!

Tomorrow, Trump’s Interior Department will likely announce whether it intends to hand over 21 of our most important wild places to Big Oil.
The decision will determine the fate of Grand Canyon-Parashant, Bears Ears and Giant Sequoia National Monuments -- public lands that belong to you and me.
At Friends of the Earth Action, we’ve been pushing the Interior Department to save these national treasures. Already, environmentalists like you prevented Trump from handing over Colorado’s Canyons of the Ancients, Idaho’s Craters of the Moon, and Washington’s Hanford Reach. But with so many other public lands at risk, we can’t afford to let up the pressure now.
Donate $27 TODAY -- before it’s too late -- and stop Trump from handing over our public lands to Big Oil!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
This spring, Trump signed an Executive Order that forces a review of parks and public lands that have been protected since 1996. It puts more than one billion acres of wild places at risk.
The Trump Administration has already signaled that it wants to drastically shrink Bears Ears. But after Friends of the Earth Action members like you sent in more than 300,000 comments, it backed off and took some public lands off the table.
Together, we can convince the Department of Interior that rolling back protections for these monuments would be a tragic mistake. But we’re running out of time to get our message out.
Donate $27 or more to Friends of the Earth Action and stop fossil fuel development in the Grand Canyon and Bears Ears!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:
Trump’s vision for our environment is clear. He thinks our public lands are first and foremost meant to be exploited for the benefit of his Big Oil friends.
Friends of the Earth Action has been leading the fight to keep fossil fuels in the ground on our public lands for years now. With your support, we helped build a nationwide movement to preserve these places for future generations.
Now, with the Administration so close to making a decision on Bears Ears and other national treasures, we need to pull out all the stops. We can’t let Trump hand over these places to the fossil fuel industry. We need your help to fight back!
Deadline Thursday: Donate $27 or more and stop Trump from handing over our public lands to Big Oil!
If you've saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will go through immediately:

STJEPAN,

In the Donald Trump era, there is a lot we must collectively resist. Trump’s disgusting defense of neo-Nazis threatens the safety of our communities. And his policies on jobs and wages will hurt working families and further stack the deck toward CEOs and big business.

To hold Donald Trump and Congress accountable, EPI has launched the Perkins Project on Worker Rights and Wages as your watchdog unit monitoring, analyzing, and publicizing any attempts to dismantle the laws and regulations that protect working people.

EPI’s Perkins Project is led by former Obama Department of Labor Chief Economist Heidi Shierholz.

Shierholz recently appeared on CSPAN’s “Washington Journal” to discuss the state of our economy and how Donald Trump’s policies are impacting working people.
This month Shierholz published a report on how the Trump administration’s delay in implementing the fiduciary rule will cost retirement savers $10.9 billion in services and fees to Wall Street “advisers.”

Click here to see how much current and future retirees in your state are losing due to Donald Trump’s policies.
Shierlhoz’s wide-ranging research is covering everything from the federal budget to overtime pay for millions of workers.

Her recent piece titled “How President Trump and congressional Republicans are undercutting wages and protections for working people,”(co-authored by EPI’s Samantha Sanders) looks at how Trump-era policies are protecting Wall Street profits, undercutting labor unions and letting employers off the hook for labor violations including hiding fatal injuries.

One of the next big issues Congress is expected to tackle is the federal budget. For a preview on what to expect, check out Shierholz’s “Policy Watch: Trump budget weakens protections for working people.”

Thank you for standing with EPI during these difficult times to protect the rights and wages of all working people―union and nonunion alike.

Sincerely,

Liz Rose
Communications Director, EPI

P.S. EPI’s work is made possible thanks to your support. Donate today to hold the Trump administration accountable and advance policies that build good-paying jobs and raise wages for millions of working people.

The Trump Administration Could Drive Florida Panthers to Extinction
TAKE ACTION
Tell the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service not to remove the critical endangered species protections that these imperiled animals need to survive.
 TAKE ACTION
Respected Friends,

Florida panthers are some of the most endangered mammals on earth. It is estimated that fewer than 200 remain in the wild.

Now, the Trump administration could push them to the brink of extinction.

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering stripping Florida panthers of their critical protections under the Endangered Species Act — all to pave the way for oil and gas operations and residential development in their prime habitat, including in the Everglades. This means the last Florida panthers are in danger of losing the protections they need to survive.

Tell the Fish and Wildlife Service not to strip Florida panthers of their last defense against extinction.

The agency is inviting the public to weigh in until August 29. That means we only have a few days to make our voices heard in defense of these majestic animals.

Florida panthers once prowled woodlands and swamps across a huge swath of the southeastern U.S. Today, they occupy less than five percent of that historic range, facing constant danger from traffic and habitat loss due to residential development. Last year, an average of two panthers died every month on Florida roads as they roamed their ever-shrinking habitat in search of food and mates. More than a dozen panthers have already been killed by cars this year.

The Trump administration’s push to remove protections for the panther comes as the fossil fuel industry pushes forward with plans to continue damaging oil and gas operations in the Big Cypress National Preserve, the panther’s home base in the Florida Everglades. This one-two punch could mean the end of the Florida panther.

Panthers have been pushed to the brink. Their endangered species protections are their last defense. If stripped of those protections before they’ve had a chance to rebound, we could very well lose them forever.

Help make sure Florida panthers don’t become the next victims of the Trump administration — add your voice and demand that they remain protected under the Endangered Species Act.

 Sincerely,

Rhea Suh
President, NRDC

Bright Cellars is a curated monthly wine subscription that matches you with wine based on your unique taste. All you have to do is take the Bright Cellars Taste Palate Quiz to reveal your personal wine matches. It’s super easy: you’ll be asked questions like what type of chocolate you prefer, how you take your iced tea, your favorite cocktail, etc.
Then, the algorithm scores each wine in their inventory by comparing 18 attributes to your preferences. Each month you’ll receive four unique wines that you’re guaranteed to love. If not, your personal Wine Concierge will help you find the perfect replacement bottle; but we doubt that will happen.
So go on! Take the quiz! Sign up for Bright Cellars! And because you're friends and fam of the spoiled fam, you get 50% off your first shipment!

The Daily Signal
Aug. 23, 2017
Good morning from Washington, where overhauling the tax code soon will be front and center. House Speaker Paul Ryan makes his pitch during a nationally televised town hall back home in Wisconsin, as Rachel del Guidice reports. Is President Trump delivering on immigration enforcement? Fred Lucas checks. It's not just Confederate statues under attack. Jarrett Stepman has a tally. Plus: Amy Swearer on the ACLU's misunderstanding of basic freedoms, Walter Williams on the police failure in Charlottesville, and Katrina Trinko on the truth behind a Cabinet spouse's viral faux pas.

Zadanie publiczne współfinansowane przez Ministerstwo Spraw Zagranicznych RP w ramach konkursu Dyplomacja Publiczna 2017 - komponent "Współpraca w dziedzinie dyplomacji publicznej 2017"
Szanowni Państwo,

23 sierpnia, w rocznicę podpisania paktu Ribbentrop-Mołotow, obchodzony jest Europejski Dzień Pamięci Ofiar Stalinizmu i Nazizmu. Pamiętajmy dzisiaj szczególnie o wszystkich ofiarach tych dwóch totalitaryzmów!

Niemcy chcą być ekspertami od polskiego antysemityzmu!

Do Sądu Okręgowego w Krakowie wpłynęło pismo z niemieckiej kancelarii reprezentującej producentów serialu „Nasze Matki, nasi Ojcowie”: ZDF i UFA Fiction.

Będziemy informować o dalszych postanowieniach i działaniach.

With St. Rose of Lima we find an astounding saint and loving hound of the Lord, and yet, at a superficial level, her life and her lessons may seem very odd, extreme, and strange to us today.
