This week Scott Pruitt announced that he would force the Environmental Protection Agency to withdraw from the Clean Power Plan.
That means fossil fuel companies could be allowed to pour even more pollution into our air -- with devastating impacts on public health and the climate.

The Trump administration’s actions undermine the EPA’s ability to limit climate-disrupting emissions. And they could slow down the transition away from dirty coal and toward clean, renewable energy.
This is the opposite of what we should be doing. Time is running out to prevent climate chaos. We need stronger action to avoid the worst, not a rollback of our existing rules.

Donald Trump and Scott Pruitt don’t care about protecting our planet. They only care about increasing the fossil fuel industry’s profits.
This isn’t Trump’s first attack on our bedrock environmental protections. He already signed an order to undo the Clean Water Rule. He’s aiming to slash the hard-working staff at the EPA. And he’s trying to hand over our public lands to Big Oil.
With Trump’s government full of Big Oil cronies, our best chances to stop the attacks on our environment are in Congress and the courts. So at Friends of the Earth Action, we’re pushing Congress to rein in Trump’s attacks on our environment.
We’re training members like you across the country to help save the EPA from Trump and Pruitt. We’re building a rapid response team of volunteers to shine a light on these attacks on our planet. And we’re flooding Congress’s inboxes and phone lines with demands to prevent Trump from slashing our environmental protections.
