Belgijski redovnici i dalje prkose Vatikanu zbog eutanazije

by Robert

CDC-funded study confirms flu shots linked to spontaneous abortions…
Mike Adams
A CDC-funded medical study being published by the medical journal Vaccine has confirmed a shocking link between flu shots and spontaneous abortions in pregnant women.
The study was rejected by two previous medical journals before Vaccine agreed to publish it, further underscoring the tendency for medical journals to censor any science that doesn’t agree with their pro-vaccine narratives.

T-Minus TWO DAYS until the Meadows, and we could not be more psyched– hopefully, you've already got yo' tix🎶
Who rocked the vote yesterday? Oh, you didn't? Well, at least you're in good company. 😬
Guys, this is not a drill, the country is actually running out of chicken wings😱
We don't know why it's so hard for people to find trash cans, but now that the MTA has doubled littering fines, it's time to try harder. ♻
Crazy NYC rent getting you down? SpareRoom gave away an entire year of free rent—and we have the proof! 💯
ICYMI, a pizza fest was dubbed the "Fyre Festival" of food fests... but are food fests even worth it anyway? 🤔
There's basically nothing worse than networking, but our buds over at Shapr are making things a little easier. 🏙
Okay, Mondays might actually be the worst, but with yoga and champagne? Not so much. 🍷
Rock The Vote

So, did you vote in Tuesday’s Primary Election?
If so, good for you! If not, well, you’re not alone.
A majority of the city did NOT come out to vote, making it the 2nd worst turnout for a primary election in modern day history... not good!
Here’s everything you missed, including the results of the election.

It's Our MTA

Governor Cuomo and the MTA have had it with with litterbugs.
Now, a new campaign has been put to action, “Keep it Clean”, doubling the littering fine from $50 to $100.
The littering has started fires, worsened floods, and caused delays.
...Also it’s just plain gross, isn’t it?

Good Vibes Only

This week is your last chance to grab those Meadows tickets before it’s too late!
You gotta squeeze one of the days to your schedule, or banish FOMO and get the three day pass.
Either way, you won’t want to miss this lineup… Jay-Z, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Milky Chance, Future– and that’s just a handful of the extensive list of performers.
Don't sleep on snagging those tix!

Foodie Fix

It’s safe to say that there are few things which people are more willing to wait in line for than delicious food.
Food festivals will more often than not, take the cake for painfully long lines.
At what point do we say enough is enough?
After all, we are in NYC, so what’s the need for these massively crowded food festivals when we can pretty much get whatever we’re in the mood for anyway?
Just some food for thought.

Remember when SpareRoom gave away an entire year of rent for free?
Well. It happened.
They just gifted one lucky duck one whole year of rent– with quite a bit of fanfare.
Seriously. To top it off, we helped them give that lucky winner a GIANT EFFING CHECK by way of some hidden video shenanigans.
Check out the video.
But guys, you haven't missed your chance to win big. They're hooking someone up with a month of rent EVERY month!
Don't miss out!

Name a More Iconic Duo

Popular media would have you believe that a Downward Facing Dog and downing a bottle of champagne are two separate activities.
But not today, friends!
Thanks to The VNYL in East Village, now you can feel no shame as you partake in both simultaneously (which we know you wanted to do anyway)!
Get yourself down to the Champagne Room for soothing yoga and sparkly toasts on Mondays.
Now that’s a case of the Monday's we actually might actually enjoy.

We’re now faced with a particularly worrisome issue– a shortage in chicken wing

Single-payer is having a moment

CREDIT: DIANA OFOSU/ THINKPROGRESS
Single-payer health care is having a moment: almost every senate Democrat thought to be harboring presidential ambitions has signed on to Bernie Sanders’ latest Medicare for All bill. Now that it’s catching on, it’s time to iron out the specifics. And before Bernie gets all the credit though, we can’t forget about the grassroots activists who helped bring it to the mainstream.

Hurricanes Irma and Harvey have caused billions of dollars worth of damage, displaced tens of thousands, and have killed at least 80 people. President Trump’s solution? Tax cuts! We know how his fellow Republicans react when you point out the role climate change played, but are Democrats squandering an opportunity too?

The shooting of nine people at a football party in Texas this past weekend followed a disturbingly familiar script.
In College Park, Maryland, immigrants can now vote in local elections.

"There are at least two kinds of games. One could be called finite; the other infinite. A finite game is played for the purpose of winning, an infinite game for the purpose of continuing the play."
–James Carse

News from the Mission

You asked, and we listened! Based on in-person feedback from readers and dozens of conversations, we’re excited to announce a new service for readers of The Mission. It’s called Find Your Mission. We’re accepting applications now, and you can enter to win two free strategy sessions here.

News that matters

Scientists are finding that becoming ridiculously good at something through deep work and practice is the key to moving beyond happiness to a deeper state of contentment and excitement.

Research shows listening to music you find upbeat, inspiring, and meaningful will boost your creativity, and allow your brain to spin up more novel solutions to problems.

What we're reading

Finite and Infinite Games by James Carse
This book is a powerful way to expand your thinking about what life could be. Psychologically, this is a hard book to confront for those who have forgot how to play, or for those who (erroneously) believe that life cannot be a fun, infinite game with multiple winners, where joy won just by playing. So many people go through their lives playing one finite game after the other. They unconsciously fall into a rhythm of hypnotic habits, drifting from one dead ending after the next. Stop playing finite games. Look for infinite games with others who want to have fun, and work hard towards building something that lasts forever.

What we're listening to

It’s sappy, but the Pop to Make You Feel Better Playlist is making us feel better. It might even be boosting our creativity :D

What we're watching

The chilling thing about this clip from a 2012 debate between Peter Thiel and Eric Schmidt is how few substantive debates there are between founders and CEOs of large companies. Why is it so hard for them to talk, debate, and insult each other publicly? Are people becoming so skittish and sensitive that they can’t have challenging conversations publicly anymore? It’s now five years after this debate, and people with differing philosophies are debating less and less in formal settings. This isn’t a good trend.

600 lions are killed every single year by trophy hunters.

That’s disgusting! Endangered animals belong in the wild, not on some hunter's wall.
Sign your name to condemn this brutal bloodsport:
Condemn Trophy Hunting →
  • In July, 2015 Cecil the Lion was lured away from his home by Minnesota dentist Walter Palmer, and then shot, skinned, and decapitated.
  • Almost exactly two years later, Cecil’s son, Xanda, suffered the same gruesome fate.
That’s sickening, STJEPAN! But it’s not enough to be sickened by trophy hunting, we need to ACT.

600 lions are killed every year by thrill-seeking trophy hunters.

That’s 600 majestic animals who share the same fate as Cecil and Xanda. And the worst part? It’s totally legal!!
Stop Trophy Hunting →
Respected friends -- we never want to see images like this again.
Animals don’t exist for our entertainment. They aren’t trophies.

Humans have no right to slaughter them for fun.

STJEPAN -- the only way to change the bloody statistics is to take a stand right now.

If you care about saving lions, take 5 minutes and sign your name to end the wholesale slaughter of these majestic creatures:
