Maggie for NH
Respected friends, we wanted to give you a quick update on two of the top races you’re hearing about:First, early voting in Georgia’s special election starts in just THREE DAYS Outside money is pouring in against Democrat Jon Ossoff, and the negative ads are making an impact — recent polls show that Jon is slipping. Donate $3 or more to help secure one of the first major Democratic victories of the Trump era.Second, Republicans are zeroing in on Senator Heidi Heitkamp in North Dakota. FIVE right-wing groups have already flooded the airwaves with attacks against Heidi — all so that they can elect another rubberstamp for Donald Trump and Steve Bannon. Please give $3 or more now to protect this Democratic Senate seat and help re-elect Heidi. Both Heidi and Jon are facing extremely tough elections, and they’re going to need all of the help they can get from strong grassroots supporters like you if they’re going to win.Donate $3 now, before tomorrow’s weekend deadline, to help them build up the resources to withstand Republicans’ attacks. If you’ve saved your payment information with ActBlue Express, your donation will automatically be split between Jon Ossoff, Heidi Heitkamp and Maggie Hassan.
Thanks for doing your part to elect Democrats,
Team Maggie

THE BOOK

On Monday we honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice so that we could have the freedom to pursue our dreams. Those courageous souls gave me the ability to dream some big dreams with the real belief that I could live them some day.And live them, I have. I will be forever grateful to the men and women who gave their lives so I could dream big! In celebration of them, I'd like to give you my latest book "No Dream Is Too Big: How To Use The Power Of Desire To Get Anything You Want."For every book downloaded between now and Memorial Day, we'll also make a contribution to the Wounded Warrior Project. The more downloads, the more we'll give. The book is totally free -- no strings attached -- when you download the Kindle version from Amazon this weekend (don’t worry if you don’t have a Kindle, Amazon has free Kindle software for all devices).  Click here to download your free gift this weekend... If you have a light bulb moment while reading it I’d love to have your feedback (in fact, I’d love to have your feedback for any reason). Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.

Trump Said Yes to the Keystone XL Pipeline — But Nebraska Can Still Say No
Take Action
Urge the Nebraska Public Service Commission to reject the tar sands pipeline.
TAKE ACTION
Respected friends,

Trump may be desperately trying to revive the Keystone XL tar sands pipeline, but he's far from the final word on this disastrous project. The Keystone XL still needs approval to route the pipeline through the state of Nebraska — and that's up to state officials. We need your help to prevail on the Nebraska Public Service Commission to deny permission to route the pipeline through Nebraska.Urge Nebraska's commissioners to block the Keystone XL pipeline and protect Nebraska's air, water, land and communities.Without an approved route through Nebraska, TransCanada, the company behind the pipeline, can't start construction — which means Nebraska has the power to potentially put an end to the Keystone XL once and for all.NRDC is fighting the pipeline on every front. We've sued the Trump administration for its illegal resurrection of the pipeline. And we're working to persuade investors that Keystone XL is a bad bet, economically and environmentally, and that they should walk away from this project.Right now, we're counting on the strength of thousands of NRDC supporters like you to speak out. Your quick action is the most important thing you can do to help us stop Trump and his fossil fuel allies from brazenly moving forward with the Keystone XL. If built, the pipeline would cross hundreds of Nebraskan rivers and streams, cut within a mile of countless wells and threaten the Ogallala Aquifer, which provides drinking water for more than a million people. What's more, it's a virtual certainty that the pipeline will leak — exposing farms, ranches, families and wildlife to highly volatile, toxic chemicals. And beyond its potential to devastate America's heartland, the Keystone XL would be responsible for annual greenhouse gas emissions equal to 37.7 million cars, driving climate change and keeping us shackled to the climate-wrecking fossil fuels of the past. We've stopped Keystone XL before — because people like you rose up together and took action..Donation Amount Field Is RequiredDonation Amount:  $25   $35   $50   $100   Other Please speak up once again — in solidarity with the people of Nebraska — and tell the Nebraska Public Service Commission to deny approval for the Keystone XL.

Thank you for your support.

Sincerely,

Rhea

Friends,

Instead of meeting with constituents, holding town halls, and listening to millions of Americans like you demanding to protect Obamacare, Republican senators will spend this Memorial Day recess drafting a new bill to destroy your health care. That’s right -- while the rest of us are gathering with family and friends, they’re writing legislation to eliminate protections for pre-existing conditions just to give even more tax cuts to the wealthy. Our only hope to stop this awful legislation is you and we can’t let our guard down. While Democratic senators are holding the line in the Senate, we’ll be running hard-hitting ads to call out Republicans for supporting this damaging bill.As the FEC deadline approaches, we’re counting on your support to hold Republicans accountable for their attacks on health care. Chip in $25 now to help fund our ads and keep the pressure up during recess.Just like we saw in the House, Republicans are repeating the same secret strategy to pass Trumpcare with little notice and no input from the public. That’s why we must do everything in our power to keep the pressure on and never let up. Our best chance to save health care is to make sure Republicans know we are all watching their every move -- especially when they’re at home in front of voters. Chip in $25 to help fund our ads and show Republicans we’ll make them pay for moving forward with repealing Obamacare:

Dear ,
Tell the USDA that delay is unacceptable -- we want stronger animal protections NOW!

Last year, you helped push the USDA to make groundbreaking improvements for animal welfare. Now, Sonny Perdue’s USDA is playing “death by delay.” Instead of starting to take action this month like it was supposed to, the agency is trying to push back the deadline.
Every day the USDA doesn’t act is a day some chickens don’t get to see the light of day. Only you can stop this from happening -- but we need you to speak up
Tell the USDA that delay is unacceptable -- we want stronger animal protections NOW!The protections you helped win would ensure that all organic farmers live up to the ideals that the majority of organic farmers follow -- allowing access to the outdoors and adequate living space for their animals. But Sonny Perdue is standing in the way. He’s caving to Big Ag interests. He’s trying to bury this rule in a bureaucratic hole. Meanwhile, animals’ well-being and organic farmers’ credibility are hanging in the balance. Demand that Sonny Perdue stops messing with the animal welfare protections we passed! The new rule is overwhelmingly supported by organic farmers, consumers and animal advocates. It sets the first comprehensive, federal on-farm standards for any animals, period.
The USDA needs to hear loud and clear that the rules we won need to be implemented NOW.
Standing with you,
Dr. Kendra Klein,
Staff scientist,
