Biblical Image
Shalom ,

If you have ever read the biblical Book of Ezekiel, you are familiar with the vision that appears at the opening of the book. God calls a priest named Ezekiel to become his prophet by means of a tremendous vision in the sky: “ A stormy wind came out of the north: a great cloud with brightness around it and fire flashing forth continually, and in the middle of the fire, something like gleaming amber” (Ezek. 1:4). What exactly is this gleaming amber?
Sincerely,

Thank you for signing DFA's important petition to demand Congress impeach Donald Trump -- we've gotten an incredible response so far!

Less than 24 hours after the news broke that Donald Trump fired FBI Director James Comey, the calls for an investigation leading to the impeachment are growing louder and louder. Rep. Maxine Waters took to Twitter to say that Donald Trump "should follow his FBI Director out the door," and Rep. Al Green said that the firing is an "impeachable offense" if it can be connected to the Russia investigation -- which is looking more and more likely as the details come out.

Donald Trump cannot be allowed to get away with obstructing justice. Democrats and Republicans alike must hold him accountable immediately.

Thanks for helping us bring an end to the Trump Administration.

Climate Hawks Vote

FRIENDS:

On Monday, we emailed Climate Hawks Vote members asking them to send a message to the FCC and Congress to prevent a hostile takeover of the web from internet service providers like Comcast and AT&T. More than 13,501 of you acted, demanding Trump’s FCC and Congress protect net neutrality.
Meanwhile, Jon Oliver asked his television audience to do the same. So many people have been sending messages to the FCC that their website crashed. It’s back up and running, so it’s time to redouble our efforts.
The public can only submit comments until tomorrow before the FCC will make its decision on whether or not to disband vital net neutrality rules. These are the same protections that prevent Comcast, AT&T, and other providers from blocking, censoring or slowing down the communications we need to protect our democracy. Add your last-minute message to the FCC and Congress: don’t mess with our internet. A free and open exchange of ideas online is integral to climate justice. Comcast owns NBC, a network which covered climate change for only 10 minutes last year on their main network news. Comcast’s top lobbyist was even on the board of the climate-denier shop Heartland Institute. And now MSNBC has hired climate denier George Will as full-time contributor.  And AT&T has been directly financing the climate denial machine. They gave more than $3.2 million in political donations to climate deniers between 2008 and 2014. We can’t trust Comcast, AT&T, and other monopolizing internet service corporations to control what we can and cannot access on the web.The first vote on the Trump administration’s disastrous plan will be on May 18th. We need as many people to speak out today, because the last day they’ll accept comments is tomorrow. Type in a custom comment on the petition, we’ll forward your message directly to the FCC so you can make your voice heard.Add your comment alongside more than 13,501 other climate hawks sticking up for net neutrality.Thank you for standing up for our free and open internet today, so that we can keep fighting together for a safe and sustainable climate.

PSA: Mother's Day is this Sunday, fam. And if anyone deserves to be spoiled, it's your Mom, agreed? 👸
Got Memorial Day plans? Cancel them– you're coming on this two-hour booze cruise with us instead. 🍹
June has been officially named New York Music Month, and NYC's hosting hundreds of free concerts to celebrate. 🎶
We're all on board with co-working spaces, so why not co-living spaces🏙
You might be anticipating the Coney Island Mermaid Parade just like everyone else, but it turns out that they're in some deep water. 🌊
If there's one thing New Yorkers hate– okay, we kinda hate a lot of sh*t, but seriously, don't touch our stuff, including our beloved bars😡
Aziz Ansari's dope AF show Master of None gets its second season on Netflix this Friday, and more than a couple NYC establishments get the shout out. 📺
We wish we could eat out all the time but uh, our bank statements say otherwise. For those nights when you've gotta stay in, we're lucky we have FoodKick😋

New York Music Month

Mayor de Blasio has deemed June “New York Music Month” and we’re pumped to say the least.
We know how #blessed we are to have access to tons of free concerts every summer, but we’re about to get even more free shit.
And we’re not complaining.
Free guided music history tours and gratis admission to a couple of museums is already pretty dope, but how does free rehearsal time for you and your band sound?
June may just be the month for that big break you’ve been looking for.

Any New Yorker who’s been to McSorley’s can tell you the place is overflowing with history.
Having opened in 1854, the bar is the city’s oldest running saloon for a reason.
This excerpt from “Two and Two: McSorley’s, My Dad, and Me” details what went down when the bar was asked by health inspectors to once and for all clean the over a century-old wishbones hanging from the ceiling.
As Rafe Bartholomew, longtime employee recounts,
“McSorley’s authenticity was a product of continuity— stories, work practices, and customs that started with Old John in 1854 and remained alive in today’s staff.
Losing the dust off the World War I wishbones was a blow to that continuity.”

And for you and all of the people hoping to see that this year, ya’ll have some donating to do.
The non-profit organization hosting the annual Mermaid Parade is in need of financial assistance.
They’re looking to meet their $50,000 goal to make #MermaidParade2k17 the best parade yet.
They can only set those sails with your help.

Remember when you decided you'd start eating responsibly? Ditching your takeout habit? Using groceries before they go bad in your fridge? Maybe even trying to... meal prep? That was cute.

Those ambitious Sunday morning resolutions rarely make it past Tuesday night, especially living in a city as chaotic as NYC.

You have real problems, like trying to choose what you're going to watch on Netflix while you eat. Don't let groceries be a struggle too. Just let our pals at FoodKick take care of you.

They get it. Some nights you need somethin’ fresh to cook, a meal kit with complete instructions, and some nights just call for pressing a couple of buttons on the microwave– and that's it. Don’t worry though, you don’t need to hit up three different joints.
FoodKick has all your bases covered. Even your booze. Seriously.

Master of Yum

We got a whole lot of love for the (little) Aziz Ansari.
On the second season of his foodie show Master of None, Ansari hits up some of NYC’s best.
Okonomi, Carbone, and Thai Villa are just a few of the restaurants featured this round. His visit to these spots is always accompanied with a couple of tips on what’s good to order.
Season two hits Netflix this Friday!

They all come fully furnished (!!!!), provide amenities like in-house laundry units and wifi, and are even cleaned for you weekly.

Mamma Mia

She awoke out of her sleep for days on end to nurse you, and changed thousands of your diapers.
She still decided to love you even after your rebellious teenage phase... and those bangs.
She deserves the world and more, but since we’re NY millennials, there’s only so much we can do to celebrate our mothers.
That doesn’t mean you can’t totally spoil her though. We’ve got 17 ideas on how to do just that.
Mother’s day plans made.

A nagy számok törvénye alapján tehát biztosan akad közöttük olyan, aki éppen Hozzád hasonló partnert keres.

Valós probléma, főként a kisebb mennyiségű rendeléseknél a szállítás.

The rampage, during which the perpetrators set fire to hundreds of synagogues, looted thousands of Jewish businesses and attacked Jews throughout Germany, is often considered the beginning of the Holocaust. Who hasn’t heard of the British Virgin Islands, BVI for short? Sailing paradise for many, this destination offers the best and the most luxurious of the Caribbean: from turquoise crystal waters to breathtaking nature and an array of water sports you can try. This untouched volcanic archipelago is definitely on every sailor’s bucket list.

BVI_Tortola_shutterstock_468910502_L (Large)

An ideal starting point is Tortola, the largest island of the archipelago. Situated on Tortola’s southeastern shore and in the vicinity of the airport is Maya Cove, also known as Hodges Creek Marina. This full-service marina will provide you with water and electricity, and a selection of nautical activities. Later you can relax and eat at Calamaya and Fat Bob’s.

Among other things, the BVI is especially popular for divivng, scuba-divnig and snorkeling. The climate and vegetation there are much drier than on many other Caribbean islands, which makes the water clarity significantly higher. The most famous are The Baths, a beach area on the southwest of the island of Virgin Gorda. An amazing underwater world full of colorful sea animals, reefs and corals is waiting for you there.

Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands

The high season for sailing in the BVI is from December through April, but in May and June the islands get less busy and more peaceful, which is why now is the perfect time to book your yacht!
