Well summer's almost here, how's that bikini bod going, New Yorkers?
LOL, we feel you, it's a rough life, especially when there's so much delish food here in NYC. Like BareBurger's new "impossible" burger. But if you're one of those gross, motivated, healthy people, maybe you can catch one of these free yoga or bootcamp classes. Dreaming about summer vacays? Well, you will be after you read about all the chill vibes they've got on the West Coast. ️ And if you do end up GTFO-ing, we've got the perfect thing to banish all packing woes. First there was news of the Friends musical. Then Mean Girls. And now, the nostalgia musical train is delivering us a SpongeBob Squarepants show on Broadway! Think you have the worst commute ever? Try telling that to these people on the F train yesterday. Besides the MTA, one of the worst parts about living in NYC is finding a roommate. SpareRoom is here to change that.
You know how you told yourself you were going to start eating clean and working out every week? ...And then the rooftop bar invites and food festival invites started coming in? Well, it’s never too late to reach your fitness goals! Being too broke for a gym membership is no excuse either, because you can take free yoga and bootcamp classes at Hudson Yards this summer! Your bikini bod is waiting for you. READ MORE…
Apparently the “F” in F train stands for “f*ck you." Yesterday, a southbound F train faced a mechanical issue in the middle of an underground tunnel. But it wasn’t your typical “we apologize for the delay due to mechanical issues.” Passengers were stuck for almost an hour in darkness with no air conditioning. If you’re claustrophobic at all, this may just be your worst nightmare. Desperate passengers tried to pry open the doors with umbrellas, while both men and women were stripping down to get some relief. Windows fogged up and passengers even etched lines like “we will survive” onto the steam. We all know how sh*tty the MTA is, but this is just absurd. READ MORE…
Sometimes cockroaches and mice aren’t the only infestations we have to live with. Yeah, we’re talking about those pesky roommates. The ones that steal your food, clothes, and sometimes even your dignity. If you’re looking to move out or trade in your roomie for a new one, we gotchu. Say hello to SpareRoom, the free room and roommate finding site that helps you sift through the crapshoots of sketches, and connect with good people looking to share an apartment. Listen, there are 8.5 million of us living here, Craigslist just won’t cut it anymore. You deserve better. READ MORE…
Aye, aye captain! Your favorite childhood show is about to come to life on Broadway. The SpongeBob Musical is coming to the Palace theater this fall. Prepare for some dope music from some of your favorite artists and a talented cast to play the show’s iconic characters. Although the show debuts in November, make sure to snag your tickets when they go on sale on the 26th. Now if only they served krabby patties at the premiere! READ MORE…
Even the most seasoned New Yorkers can get tired of the hustle. Life here is fast-paced and yes, it would be nice to breathe (some actual clean air). You may even want to visit the promised land: the west coast! *Gasp.* If you’re ready for an adventure to see some coastal sky views instead of the same old city skyline, you want to visit Carmel, California. Did you know avocados there are 7 for $1??? You can make all of the avocado toast your heart desires!Read up on this jetsetter's adventure to find out where to munch on the tastiest grub, sip on the booziest drinks, and find the most gorgeous views! READ MORE…
Vegetarians and vegans rejoice! Bareburger is doing the impossible. That is, the chain is introducing a completely meatless burger patty that looks and tastes just like their classic beef burger. And as you might’ve guessed, they’re calling it “the impossible burger." It even bleeds like a regular patty due to a plant ingredient that’s high in iron content. It’s only being served right now at their Laguardia location (lol), but we’re hyped for its debut in the rest of the city’s locations. READ MORE…
You know when you book a trip and you’re pumped to get the hell out of the city? All’s good... until the dreaded last-minute packing. With the seriously dope Joyus Luggage Shelf though, your last minute packing troubles are solved. The system holds all of your shirts, pants, sneakers, and even accessories in an extremely durable, practical shelving system. One of them fits perfectly into your carry-on, while two will fit into your suitcase. It even has a hamper on the last shelf for your laundry. And when you’re ready to unpack, it’ll take all of 10 seconds. Seriously, why hasn’t this been a thing sooner? READ MORE…
We can officially declare that it’s summer, right? Some of our best memories of the summer include good company, tasty drinks, and most of all, some bomb-ass food. If you’re ready to make Summer '17 one for the books, we’re ready to give you some ideas on where to find the best eats. You worry about getting yo' squad together, let us take care of the rest. READ MORE…
Don’t know what’s for dinner? Just FoodKick-back and relax and get fresh food & cold booze delivered right to your door. Use the code “spoiledNYC” and take $25 off your first order of $50 or more when you order right here. Boom. FoodKick just saved the day, fam.

Friends:
The number-one question I’m hearing right now is “Trump pulled out of the Paris climate agreement. What can I do to fight back?”
I respond: “Right now, our number-one best response to Trump’s climate disaster is to help climate hawk Tom Perriello become the Democratic nominee for Virginia governor next Tuesday, June 13th.” Can you pick up the phone and make some calls for Tom Perriello, a climate hawk running against Trump? Yes, I can phonebank for Tom. The rise of the politics of Trumpist climate denial is rooted in the perceived political weakness of the climate movement. As the New York Times recently wrote, “Until people vote on the issue, Republicans will find it politically safer to question climate science and policy than to alienate moneyed groups like Americans for Prosperity.”This is the climate movement’s single best opportunity to prove that climate activists can swing a race in advance of the 2018 midterms. From day one, Tom has been running as a fierce climate hawk standing up to fossil-fuel money and Donald Trump — and his Republican and Democratic opponents have been touting fracking and taking fossil-fuel cash from Dominion Energy. This a fight where our action can make a huge difference.Tom needs your help—and we need to show our strength. Can you pick up the phone and make some calls? Yes, I can join my fellow climate hawks and phonebank for Tom.No, I can’t volunteer, but I can chip in $3.50 to help compete with Dominion’s dirty money.
Thanks for everything you’re doing!
RL Miller, for Climate Hawks Vote
