Dear Supporter, The leadership of Achiezer, the Agudath Israel of America, Amudim, Ohel Children’s Home and Family Services, the Rabbinical Council of America and the Orthodox Union express our heartfelt concern and prayers for those impacted by Hurricane Irma. We are grateful to Hashem that the forecasted extensive damage never fully materialized. Nevertheless the impact of trauma is affecting many in the community. Mental health professional teams on the ground like OHEL’s Mobile Trauma Team and others, are assisting many, and are available to help in the recovery of individuals, families and the community as a whole. Resources on Coping With Crisis are available by clicking here. Since before Irma struck the southeastern United States, we have been in continuous communication with our networks of Florida synagogue and community leadership and we know that many communities and synagogues remain without power. We’ve also received reports from community leaders of an impending food shortage. We will continue to monitor this situation and will alert you should additional critical assistance be required. In an effort to provide much needed kosher food and provisions for the Jewish communities in the Tri-Counties of Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach, as well as communities elsewhere in Florida, including Gainesville and the Florida Keys, we are launching a limited fundraising campaign together with our local partners in Florida. We are also working with local organizations and synagogues to provide food, hospitality and various support services needed by those whose homes are still without power. You can donate towards the Hurricane Irma Florida Relief effort here. Please continue your tefillot on behalf of the many people seriously affected by Hurricane Irma, many of whom may not be able to return home for days. We also encourage our network of communities to check in with their family and friends in the impacted areas to share and express prayers, concern and good wishes. Please consider supporting the important relief efforts to provide the necessary sustenance to the Jewish community by donating today. In addition, please keep the communities of Houston in the forefront of your thoughts as they continue their rebuilding efforts following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey floodwaters. Finally, we are deeply concerned about the broader community and ask that you consider contributing to the Red Cross. We have seen tremendous support for those in need, we hope that your extraordinary generosity will continue as we approach the Yamim Noraim (High Holidays) – you can help the people of Houston here. Moishe Bane, President Orthodox Union Allen Fagin, Executive Vice President Orthodox Union Rabbi Boruch Ber Bender, President Achiezer Shuli Wolman, Chairman of the Board Achiezer Rabbi Shia Markowitz, CEO Agudath Israel of America Rabbi Zvi Gluck, Founder and Director Amudim David Mandel, CEO OHEL Children’s Home and Family Services Rabbi Elazar Muskin, President Rabbinical Council of America Rabbi Mark Dratch, Executive VP Rabbinical Council of America

Hopefully, you're reading this waiting in a too-long line for some food at The Meadows (don't worry, it'll be worth it).
And if not, you've still got time to fix your weekend. Citi Field not in your cards? We've got a few alternatives. For example, The Williamsburg International Film Festival– heads up though, it's relocated to Manhattan this year. Is there literally anything that jumpstarts your quarter-life crisis faster than using dating apps? New Yorkers get a bad rap, but prove everyone wrong by attending this amazing fundraiser for hurricane relief. You might think that the opera isn't for common folk like us, but this year, you can catch opening night for FREE in Times Square! Remember when our pals over at SpareRoom promised to give one lucky winner rent for a whole year? Well, they found their winner.
We're a little too excited that THE MEADOWS IS FINALLY HERE GUYS. Who else are we going to see at this epic music fest this year? Hit us up! You can find us jamming to a few of these amazing performers, in between munching on some yummy food, of course. While the big headliners are obviously the most appealing, don't sleep on these seriously talented acts! READ MORE…
Ladies and Gents, the wait is over… The Meadows Festival weekend is here and we are ready to go! This lineup may even be better than last year, offering a wide variety of artists keeping the event exciting, bouncing from genre to genre. Whether you’ve got the 3-day pass or you can only squeeze in one of the three, every day will be an incredible show. So get those tickets, they’re almost sold out! READ MORE…
So there is a ton of great stuff going on this weekend, the issue now is choosing what to take part in. ...Which will be a difficult task, given the various array of options we have, because NYC never disappoints! Concerts, parades, and of course, several food festivals–check out our list of suggestions. You’re welcome! READ MORE…
This is interesting, the Williamsburg International Film Festival is not being held in Williamsburg. This year, Hunter College in Manhattan will be hosting the event. Though, we’re sure the cherished WILLiFEST will be as memorable and inspiring as usual. Just making sure you know about the location change! Get caught up here on all the deets! READ MORE…
There has been an overwhelming outpour of aid and support given towards Hurricane relief in recent weeks. People are offering their help in any way they can, whether it’s hand-on help, or financial donations. And now, you can attend this “NYC LOVES TX & FL” fundraiser cocktail party, to further show your support, while having a good time. What’s not to love about this? READ MORE…
For limited time, anyone can get fancied up and attend the Metropolitan Opera House’s season opening show in Times Square. First come first serve, 2,000 available seats, and up, free of charge. After being frustrated with the through-the-roof, NYC theater ticket prices, this is a refreshing change of pace! READ MORE…
So, that “Live Rent Free” giveaway that sounded far too good to be true? It's over. And we have ourselves a winner! But the real story here is the hilariously extra way in which SpareRoom decided to present the check to their winner. And better yet, it was all caught on camera. Check it out! READ MORE…
So here we are. Swiping away at our screens looking for someone who actually appreciates our healthy Tom Hanks obsession and BOOM, a match! We look at their profile anxiously awaiting a message. Maybe they’ll say something funny– “Hey gurl,” he says. “U down 2 come over?” Now wait just one New York minute! Is this a scam? Gurl? The number 2? Who even are you, a pubescent 15-year old failing English class? We know, dating in New York is the ultimate challenge, and we’re here to hold your hand through every awkward mismatch that this town has to offer. READ MORE…
