Dear Fellow American,
Reports out of Washington are suggesting that Congress may not vote on a tax cut this year! That is simply unacceptable.
With Republican majorities in both the Senate and House of Representatives, and President Trump in the White House, it's long past time for our lawmakers to get to work helping the American people. They have the chance to do that right now by passing a much-needed tax cut before the end of the year. It's time Americans finally get some relief after almost a decade of Obama-era taxation. Please sign the National Petition in Support of Individual Tax Cuts right away to urge Congress to pass an immediate tax break for all Americans. This is the single best way Congress can provide our economy with a critical boost.
The Council for Citizens Against Government Wastehas been battling out-of-control spending and burdensome taxes since 1984. Not since the Reagan years have we seen a better opportunity to jumpstart our economy and give all Americans a raise than we're witnessing right now! After a decade of economic stagnation and oppressive taxation, it's time for Congress to cut individual tax rates to let us keep more of our hard-earned money to spend how we see fit. An across-the-board tax cut would be a guaranteed "slam-dunk" for Congress. President Trump promised us a tax cut, and quite frankly, the American people deserve it. It's a key part of his agenda to make our economy great again!
If you agree it's time for Congress to act, please sign the National Petition in Support of Individual Tax Cuts right away. You and I must demand lower tax rates for American families. America's individual income tax system is too burdensome, costly, and complex. We need to reduce rates for families and make the tax process simple enough to complete on a postcard. You should not have to spend your money to hire professionals in order to let the federal government confiscate a big chunk of your income. With Republicans in charge of the White House and both chambers of Congress, we have an unprecedented opportunity to drastically slash individual income tax rates and put more of your hard-earned money back in your pocket. There is no reason why Congress should wait a single day longer. The time for a tax cut is NOW!
Without pressure from over-taxed Americans, Congress may not even take up tax cuts before the end of the year.
We must demand they turn their sights on a battle that will be an easy victory for Republicans, and a major win for all Americans.
You and I must hold lawmakers' feet to the fire. We must ensure they keep their campaign promise to slash individual tax rates before the end of the year. Please help us demand tax cuts by signing the National Petition right away. Then, please forward this to every fiscal conservative you know and ask them to sign it, too.
Sincerely,
Thomas A. Schatz
