In the real of very small quantities [individuals] prediction becomes uncertain, if not impossible, because very small quantities no longer behave in accordance with the known natural laws.” –Jung In other words, you are NOT a statistic. This book was published in 1960’s by Princeton Press. Carl Jung was a genius, but also a divisive figure in the psychological community. He definitely had an impact on the Princeton PEAR research lab that was founded after this book’s publication. Sidenote: the PEAR lab has since been shut down, but its research on how the mind affects matter has been continued by several of it’s founders. Synchronicity is a recommended read because it’s empowering. It encourages the reader to treat their experiences as primary, paramount, and become actively involved in the mystery and opportunity that is your life. One of our favorite quotes from the book: “We put thirty spokes together and call it a wheel; But it is on the space where there is nothing that the utility of the wheel depends. We turn clay to make a vessel; But it is on the space where there is nothing that the utility of the vessel depends. We pierce doors and windows to make a house; And it is on these spaces where there is nothing that the utility of the house depends. Therefore just as we take advantage of what is, we should recognize the utility of what is not." -Jung Listening to...  The Killers have a new album out called Wonderful Wonderful and the first single, Run for Cover is great.
