Marc David here, Founder of the Institute for the Psychology of Eating.
Writing a book is like putting a message in a bottle and tossing it into the sea. Who, if anyone, will find it? And will the words written therein be meaningful even if someone does discover it? No matter how compelling the message, the probability that the sea of life will drift these words of wisdom to those who need it most seems rather improbable.
Such is the fate of most published books. They don’t make it past a first printing and they never quite fulfill the hopes of the author. And for this reason, I feel so very grateful.
That’s because my second book, The Slow Down Diet: Eating for Pleasure, Energy and Weight Loss has found its way around the world and into so many hands and hearts.
My publisher has recently released a special 10th Anniversary Edition of this classic and best selling book. I’m honored to have written a book that’s impacted people in a deep way, and that’s helped those who have needed wisdom, insight, and a whole new understanding of their relationship with food and body. The Slow Down Diet has been a life-changing book for a generation of readers who have been hungry for a new approach to eating psychology and nutrition.
I wrote this book with two very clear intentions: that the messages it contains would be deep and meaningful, AND that the people who need it most would find it.
After 10 years in print, the book has taken on a life of its own and it’s been discovered again and again by readers who are interested in weight, body image, overeating, emotional eating, nutrition, healing and personal transformation.
The Slow Down Diet is a book that will give you a completely new perspective on metabolism and health – one that’s cutting edge, honest, inspirational and surprising in its ability to help people have breakthroughs and results when none seemed to be forthcoming.
If you haven’t read this book, I’d love for you to do so. And if you haven’t shared it with someone you care about, then this a great time to make that happen. I’ve made it my life’s mission to help people powerfully transform their experience of food, body and health. This book is my message in a bottle that’s from me to you. I think you’ll be a different person after you read it.
So, in honor of the 10th Anniversary Edition, we have some great special offers to make it worth your while and to further introduce you to some of the breakthrough work we do here at the Institute. These special offers are for a limited time only, so be sure to act soon.
