How do I know this is not a fake email?

An email really coming from PayPal will address you by your first and last names or your business name. It will not ask you for sensitive information like your password, bank account or credit card details. Most fake emails threaten that your account will be in jeopardy if you do not take action immediately. An email that urgently requests you to supply sensitive personal information is usually an attempt at fraud. Also, fake emails often contain misspellings and grammatical errors or are written in a language which you did not set as preferred for your PayPal account. Remember not to click any links in suspicious looking emails.

Some Quick Thoughts On the Pope’s Congressional Address

I don’t want to spend a great deal of time on the text of the speech. You can read it for yourself. But there are a few of points I want to highlight and ask questions about. First, I said in my post yesterday morning that the White House address was a missed opportunity to talk [...]

Just Pope-ing Around

Pope Francis has had quite the jam-packed schedule during his trip to the U.S. of A., and one of his first stops in Washington was to have a little chat with Congress. In his address, he said some pretty cool things about working families, strong women, and just being good people. Read more about it here. Fidgety Feet

Good news for people who can’t seem to keep their hands or feet still: You may be undoing some of the damage that long work days are doing to our poor, feeble bodies. In a new study of more than 12,000 women between ages 35 and 69, it was the women who could sit perfectly still all day (how do they do that?!) who had a higher mortality rate than the ones who kinda looked like they were doing the Hokey Pokey. Boy, people with restless legs syndrome must be feeling pretty good about themselves right now (except for the whole having restless legs thing). A Day That Will Live in Infamy

You may have missed it, but for 10 minutes today Facebook was down. That’s right. For 10 minutes you couldn’t see who had a baby, who tried a pumpkin spice muffin and REALLY loved it, and you didn’t know what your weird aunt had to say about Donald Trump. You could only post your photos on Instagram and Twitter like some sort of animal. As always, the internet was super calm and chill about it. However, some of the reactions were pretty darn funny, like this tweet from @cmclymer: “Log: Hour 3. Food scarce. Morale is low. People walking around, showing photos, asking if strangers ‘like’ them.” Hopefully you survived the apocalypse and are now happily reading the status of that girl whom you haven’t talked to since 7th grade simply because YOU CAN.
