Today, hearings start for Jeff Sessions, Trump's outrageous nominee for Attorney General. He is unfit to be in charge of the agency that safeguards the human and civil rights of people in the U.S. His entire career, he has actively fought the U.S. government's efforts to protect the rights of marginalized groups, including women, LGBTQ people, people of color, and immigrants. Call senators NOW: Block Jeff Sessions' appointment as Attorney General. Jeff Sessions is racist, homophobic, sexist, and xenophobic. He cannot lead the Department of Justice (DOJ). It would undo years of progress. It's up to the Senate to stop Sessions from becoming the head of the DOJ. And it's up to us to make sure they feel the heat -- today, the first day of his hearings. The most powerful action you can take from home is calling the Senate. So call key senators right now to tell them: Stop Jeff Sessions from becoming Attorney General. Can't call? Send a custom email to your senators opposing Sessions.
Thanks for all you do, Mara Schechter, Daily Kos
