Here is Scott's write-up of his experience: iPhone 2007, meet 2017: Using the original, 10 years later.  Scott's write-up brings back a lot of memories for me. I remember the day I got the original iPhone back in 2007; I was still on my BlackBerry Curve 8310 -- remember those? After buying the iPhone, I didn't switch to it immediately -- didn't even open the box, but waited over a month to transfer my SIM chip over to the iPhone. I was a bit hesitant initially about switching phones as, for the most part, I was happy with my BlackBerry. Long story short, when I switched over to the iPhone, I was amazed with it. I was very impressed by how easy it was to use, and the touchscreen was awesome. I will admit I didn't like the touchscreen keyboard initially, but I got used to it. And surfing the web on it was a hallelujah moment; it was more like surfing the web on a computer, unlike the clunky experience on a BlackBerry. From that moment on, I was hooked and I was asking myself why it took so long to switch to it. (OK, I sound like an Apple iPhone fanboy, don't I?) Anyway, enough about my experience; I'd like to hear yours. Do you have memories of the first time you used the original iPhone? What was going through your mind with this technology at the time? Was the touch screen what you expected? How was the touchscreen keyboard for you? I know some of you didn't own the iPhone back then or even today, but I'm pretty sure some of you had friends or family who had one that you played around with.
