Carbon omissions

Trumpcare is advancing quickly in Congress — in no small part because Republicans voted it out of committee at 4:30 AM this morning. Don’t lose all hope, though: there is one flaw in the proposed overhaul that could doom it in the Senate.

Scott Pruitt, head of the EPA, doesn’t think carbon emissions are causing global warming. That’s bad news for the environment, but so is Trump’s proposed EPA budget, which could really hinder disaster response, among other things

Producing the recipe for a perfect Sunday

Grammy Award-winning music producer Malay might spend his days cutting records with everyone from John Legend to Alicia Keys, but his Sundays are all about experimentation in the kitchen and recording studio. It starts with a morning cold brew at Depanneur in Williamsburg to power his brunch creations such as homemade eggs Benedict with smoked lobster. Malay got his start cooking as a child in Malaysia, when his parents entrusted him with everything from chopping carrots to cooking rice. He's not a slave to the stove and opts to spend his afternoons in the studio tweaking his latest track. But he always breaks in time for his standing Sunday night date with his wife at Soho House, where they unwind over cocktails and whiskey. MEET MALAY [NYTimes]

Moldy apples fuel these trucks

While eco-warriors convince consumers to buy ugly celery and misshapen produce, British supermarket chain Waitrose has adopted a different approach to sustainability. They just launched a fleet of delivery trucks powered by fuel made from discarded food. Okay, so they're not exactly chucking moldy apples into the gas tank and turning on the ignition. Instead, the cars run on biomethane from food waste. The vehicles are currently too expensive for the consumer market, but if Waitrose's trial proves successful it might just be a matter of time before you buy gas station food—and supermarket gas. LEARN MORE [Co.Exist]

A nightcap worth waking up for

While nothing can replace a bracing dry martini, we can't help but love the espresso martini and its boozy combination of strong coffee, sweet liqueur and sharp vodka. Too bad there are so many saccharine versions lurking on bar menus. Thankfully, The Guardian's Felicity Cloake set out on a mission to save the espresso martini by determining once and for all what it takes to whip up the perfectly balanced drink each time. Use fresh espresso, nix cream liqueurs and top it off with a minimalist coffee bean garnish. GET THE RECIPE [The Guardian]

Dear Subscriber,
Our friends over at Kettle & Fire are giving you an exclusive discounted offer on their 100% grass-fed, organic bone broth -- but only for a weekThis offer is for a limited time only so make sure to get yours today.

If you haven’t heard of bone broth, you’re in for a treat. Bone broth is jam packed with food-based minerals, easily to absorb amino acids -- glycine, glucosamine, proline -- collagen, and gelatin. Our focus in the West on eating almost exclusively muscle meet has left many of us depleted in the types of nutrients you find in extremely high levels within the rest of the animal. This is why bone broth is a major contributor to health and well-being.

The problem with making bone broth is that it takes anywhere from 24-48 hours to prepare. Luckily, we were introduced to Kettle & Fire  - an organic, 100% grass-fed, USDA-approved bone broth that just tastes amazing and only takes minutes to heat and enjoy!

Here are the reasons why you need to try Kettle & Fire’s bone broth:

  • Completely shelf-stable - doesn’t require freezing and uses NO preservatives or additives
  • Their bones come from organically raised, 100% grass-fed cattle, certified by a 3rd party laboratory to be heavy metal free.
  • Contains tons of collagen to improve joint health & reduce inflammation
  • Has a positive effect on digestive health, inflammation, energy, and immunity.
  • Cheap (or free) shipping. Ships anywhere in the U.S. and shipping is free when you buy 6 or more units!
Enjoy!
Best regards
The GreenMedInfo Team

PS: This exclusive offer ends in a week. Be sure to grab your bone broth discount now before it’s too late.
