The benefits of one way charter are well known to every sailor: better route planning and flexibility, as well as the chance to explore more of the desired destinations. Not to mention all the time saved on not having to return to the base charter. That is why this week we offer you the best of one way charters in Europe’s hottest sailing destinations - Greece, Spain or Croatia - it is up to you!

Greece

Athens and Corfu are definitely among Greece’s most popular and visited destinations. That way, you will be able to explore both the mainland and the northwestern parts of Greece. Or, if you want to head the opposite direction, the southeastern island of Paros is a great starting point to sail from to Greece's capital. For those who are more into island hopping, the Corfu - Lefkas route is also an option.

Dear Stjepan,

Tell your Senators: Don't put Wall Street's bailout lawyer in charge of the SEC!

Donald Trump is filling his government with billionaires, climate deniers, and corporate shills. And the Senate is enabling him by confirming Scott Pruitt for EPA Administrator, Rex Tillerson for Secretary of State, and more. Now, the Senate is poised to hand over the Securities and Exchange Commission -- one of the key agencies for regulating Wall Street -- to Jay Clayton. Clayton is a long-time friend of Big Business. His nomination would be a disaster for people like you!Our partners at Our Revolution, Daily Kos, and a coalition of progressive organizations are pushing the Senate to reject Clayton. They’re aiming to deliver more than 100,000 signatures to the Senate on Tuesday -- but they need your help! Help us reach 100,000 signatures to block the nomination of a Wall Street crony to lead the SEC!The SEC is responsible for protecting ordinary Americans from predatory practices by the big banks on Wall Street. It’s one of our key agencies for preventing a repeat of the 2008 financial crisis. And Jay Clayton? He was literally Wall Street’s bailout lawyer -- helping them exploit loopholes, avoid accountability, and walk away with billions of taxpayer-funded money to recover from the crisis THEY caused. Now, Trump wants to put him in charge of policing the very same banks he used to work for. Tell the Senate: Don’t let Trump put Wall Street’s bailout lawyer in charge of the SEC! Trump is putting Wall Street ahead of hardworking Americans. It's a hostile takeover of our country's future.
We need an SEC chair who puts Americans first, not Wall Street’s big banks. You can help make that happen -- but you have to speak up NOW!
ACT NOW to stop Jay Clayton from leading the SEC!
Standing with you,
Michelle Chan,
Vice president of programs,
Friends of the Earth

Wiretap and think of England

Today in embarrassing news, the White House had to apologize for falsely claiming that Britain may have wiretapped President Trump during the 2016 election cycle. It’s worth noting that Senate Intelligence Committee has categorically rejected Trump’s wiretapping claims more broadly — though Trump is still doubling down on his comments.

Trump’s budget would pose a huge threat to public health and the environment. It would also leave rural America completely behind — to say nothing of poor people. It is thus unsurprising that even conservative faith leaders aren’t pleased with it.

ROCKHOUSE HOTEL
As the temps drop below freezing, we’re over here daydreaming about our next warm-weather getaway. And the verdict is in: There’s nothing more pleasing (or photogenic) than a sunny spot in the Caribbean. It’s with that spirit in mind that we’ve teamed up with the Jamaica Tourist Board to offer up a little vacay inspiration—or at least a little bit of wanderlust for your dreary afternoon.
