Republican leaders want to make us less free by repealing our health care.Crushing medical debt isn’t freedom. Price-gouging by drug corporations isn’t freedom. And taking health care from us, our family, and our neighbors isn’t freedom, either. If Republican leaders cared about our health care freedom, they’d open Medicare to everyone. They’d stop price-gouging by drug corporations and require Medicare to bid for lower prices. U.S. senators are home now for a Fourth of July recess. When they get back to Washington, D.C., they’re going to vote on taking away our health care.The truth of the matter is that the Senate vote hinges on a handful of senators who don't represent your state. But we're guessing you might have friends and family in states where a few calls could make a huge difference.
West Virginia, Nevada, and Ohio are especially important. Will you use Facebook to find your friends living in these key states and ask them to use our call-in tool to contact their senators?
Just follow these simple steps:
1 - Use the links below to find friends in each state with key senators.
2 - Next to their name and a box indicating that you are friends, you should see a box with a down arrow. If you click that arrow, you can send a message to that friend.
3 - It’s always best to tell people why you and your family care about health care repeal in your own words, especially if you know them well. But also feel free to copy and paste this simple script: Hi, I’m writing you because the Senate is expected to vote in coming days on a disastrous bill that will repeal health care for millions. Your senator is a key vote. Will you call and tell your senator to vote “NO” on the health care repeal bill?
