HELLO RESPECTED FRIENDS
The last few days in Zehut Israel headquarters have been busy with activity. I spent last Shabbat with Moshe Feiglin in Efrat, a lrge community in Gush Etzyon. We were meeting supporters in the Zayit neighborhood. Moshe gave a Dv'ar Torah in the Bet Knesset of R' Shlomo Katz, then we had an open Oneg and Seuda Shlishit. Sunday (July 9th) was the last day for candidates to declare their intent to run in Zehut's upcoming primaries.
In order to get on to the slate, candidates were required to hand in a formal request, together with a petition of 30 Zehut members who supported their candidacy. The fax and emails were coming in furiously on Sunday (I was in the office) as all the forms came through.I don't know how many candidates applied for the Israeli slate, but there are 3 (maybe 4) for the ZEHUT International slate, so far! We will announce, and introduce them to you in the coming week or so. Also on Sunday, we held our second economic reform webinar with Gilad Alper, the economist who was very involved in preparing Zehut's economic platform. Gilad is running on the Israel Knesset slate. Things are getting exciting here as our new party takes shape. If you want to lear about how our final Knesset list will be formed, see this 3-minute video:
