SHABBAT MASSACRE IN THE HOLY LAND

This past Friday night, a day after the Salomon family welcomed their new son into the world and family and friends gathered for their holy Sabbath meal, a Palestinian terrorist entered their home in Halamish in Samaria and murdered the new baby’s aunt, uncle and grandfather - Elad, 36, Chaya, 46, and Yosef, 70. Grandmother Tova, Yosef’s wife, also stabbed, remains in critical condition.

| Gruesome images of massive amounts of blood in the family home have flooded the internet. But, few pictures show the ZAKA team, who arrived Saturday after the Sabbath, to carry out the painful and holy work of cleaning up and collecting the blood and remains of the murdered in order that every part of them would have a proper, religious burial. ZAKA also cleansed the Salomon home so they could return and mourn their dead. |

ZAKA Search and Rescue volunteers are on-call 24/7 to handle any emergency, tragedy or terror attack in Israel and often internationally.
|
|
The ZAKA team is made up of people who have volunteered to do the job that no one else wants - fulfilling the difficult task of collecting body parts and sopping up the blood of deceased people in order that they may have a proper burial, as per each individual's religious dictates.
ZAKA treats all humans, dead or alive, with respect, knowing that each person is created in God’s image.

The nation of Israel is in a Biblical and emotional mourning period - not only is this the time that the Holy Temples in Jerusalem were destroyed, but also the enemies of the Jewish people continue to spill our blood mercilessly.
