Nepotism? No problem! |

Once upon a time, nepotism was considered a problem worth avoiding at all costs. In 2017 America, Eric Trump, son of the president, describes it as a “fact of life.”

RESPECTED FRIENDS,
Since Inauguration Day, NRDC supporters like you have made thousands of phone calls and sent hundreds of thousands of petition messages to Trump, his climate-denying Cabinet of Polluters and Congress — all to demand a safe and healthy environment for ourselves, our families and the American people. On April 29, all of that hard work will culminate in our boldest act of resistance yet: the Peoples Climate March. To make this the most exciting, game-changing climate mobilization in history, we need everyone on board. Will you march with us? Folks are coming from across the country to march in our nation's capital, and countless more are joining the fight in sister marches throughout the U.S. But travel and lodging is expensive — so we're really counting on people like you who live in the D.C. area to show up on April 29, and encourage as many of your neighbors, friends and family members as possible to join you. The March will begin at the Capitol Building in Washington, D.C. we'll kick off near the Capitol at 12:30 p.m., march up Pennsylvania Avenue and surround the White House, then end with an inspiring mass gathering at the Washington Monument from 3 – 5 p.m. Learn more about the D.C. march here — and if you can't make it to Washington, see how you can attend a sister march in a location near you. No matter how you plan to participate, visit NRDC's Peoples Climate March resource page to get more details, find out what else you can do to get involved and download our new suite of posters (in English and Spanish). The Peoples Climate March couldn't have come at a more important time. Last week, Trump unleashed his biggest climate attack yet, signing a disastrous executive order that rolls back the landmark Clean Power Plan among other assaults on our environment and our health. Those threats came on the heels of the President's recent proposal to slash the EPA's budget by 31% and his administration's decision to bulldoze ahead with the Keystone XL and Dakota Access pipelines. I know you're ready to fight for as long as it takes to protect our environment, our climate and our health. And I am proud to march alongside you on April 29. We'll be in touch soon with more details. Sincerely, Rhea Suh President, NRDC |

When was the last time anyone saw Christina Ricci? Wednesday.
We've finally packed away our winter coats– who's ready for the 2-hour subway ride to Coney Island?? IT'S TRADITION, OKAY?! On the way down, we are def stopping by Industry City Food Hall's new avocado bar, because we're pretty sure it was our prayers that made it happen. Speaking of our fave superfood, the guac isn't extra at Chipotle this month! Check it out. You know what should also be free? Um, public broadcasting. Seriously, it's important. Lucky for us Manhattanites, we won't have to trek out to Brooklyn for over-the-top treats at Smorgasburg anymore– they're shipping up to SoHo. In case you still need some more spring-y date ideas (Netflix & Chill ain't cutting it anymore, buds), we've gotchu. Still looking for bae? Well, you're not gonna find them on Tinder. Time to date like an adult, fam. Feeling a little overwhelmed with the city? Get in touch with nature and your inner child this summer– go back to summer camp, on us!
Remember when Chipotle caused an E. Coli outbreak across the nation? Yeah, we don’t either.
As far as we know, Chipotle is life. And free Chipotle is what we assume heaven will taste like. When the inevitable “Guac is extra, is that okay?” comes up, no f*cks will be given. READ MORE…
We would do ANYTHING to go back to summer camp! Except be a babysitting counselor, or go back in time and have to go through puberty again.
Well luckily for us, there are now ADULT Summer Camps! All of the fun camp activities you remember and love, minus the strict rules and plus alcohol! The only thing is, summer camp costs money, and you don’t have mommy and daddy to pay for you anymore… You have us! Enter our sweepstakes and win a Club Getaway weekend at adult summer camp, and have a blast water skiing, kayaking, water trampoline-ing, pub hiking, bourbon tasting, partying, and MORE. Manhattanites, we have some amazing news for you. No need to take the L to Williamsburg every weekend.
The popular food market, Smorgasburg, is coming to Soho. Even better, it’ll offer an indoor market, so you can get your munchies on all year long. We’ll be perfecting our Insta-taking skills while we wait for opening day.READ MORE…
'Tis the season for wooden coasters and corn dogs! Coney Island re-opens for the season this weekend!
After the annual ribbon cutting ceremony at 11am, the first 97 people in line will get to ride the Wonder Wheel for free, to honor the ferris wheel’s 97th birthday! And the first 100 people get to ride the Cyclone for free! If you’re not an early bird you can still get some free egg cream samples, or check out the free Coney Island History Project. Can you tell we like free things? It’s supposed to be sunny and beautiful on Sunday, so wear that SPF, y’all! READ MORE…
Here’s the thing.
You’re f*cking awesome. And you know it. You’re not cocky—You’re confident. And you’re definitely way too good to keep trolling on Tinder and Bumble. You’re a grown up who wants to date other grown ups. Well good news! There is finally a dating app to answer your prayers! The Inner Circle is kind of like a dating app, except rather than the unfettered, gamefied free-for-all, they take a more grown up approach in determining who’s actually allowed to use it in their application and vetting process. Finally, an app that gets that quality, not quantity, matters. READ MORE…
If you haven’t been keeping up with the latest Drumpf news, Adolf Tweetler wants to cut funding to PBS, NPR, and the NEA.
And former U.S. Army General, Stanley McChrystal isn’t having it. Citing many reasons why the public programs are a necessity, McChrystal explains to us how PBS is solely responsible for educating the nation’s poorest children outside of the classroom. BTW, HOLD UP, did you know Melania’s decision to live in Trump Tower rather than the White House is estimated to cost twice the NEA’s budget per year?! Let that sink in a minute, folks. Praise be, the world’s first avocado bar is coming to Brooklyn.
Serving up favorites like avocado toast and concocting new creations like avocado smoothies, this trendy new bar is sure to satisfy every avocado-loving hipster’s dreams. Here’s to hoping this spot in Brooklyn doesn’t cause an avocado drought of its own! READ MORE…
