This was one of the most frustrating weeks in recent memory for the pro-life movement!It started at the beginning of the week with the news that Charlie Gard's parents would not be able to get him an experimental treatment to hopefully improve his condition. They later learned that they would not be able to take their little boy home to be with him in his final moments.Then the U.S. Senate defeated an initial version of legislation to defund Planned Parenthood and repeal Obamacare, which contains taxpayer-funded abortions.Later, thanks to Senator John McCain and two pro-abortion Republicans, the Senate defeated another version of the legislation to defund Planned Parenthood.The week ended on a horrible note as Charlie's parents Chris Gard and Connie Yates learned that their little baby died after his life support was turned off.It's easy to understand why some pro-life people may want to just throw their hands up in the air and give up. But in the famous words of Winston Churchill, “We must never give up. We must never ever give up.”As LifeNews has done for 25 years through the ups and downs and the victories and defeats, we will continue to speak up for those who have no voice.
LifeNews will continue to speak up for countless unborn children who are victimized by abortion every day and against those pro-abortion forces that want you and I to fund abortions and the Planned Parenthood abortion industry.LifeNews will continue to speak up for defenseless people like Charlie Gard, or Terri Schiavo or others who have hospitals or governments make the decision about their right to live.LifeNews will never give up.
