We Like Your Tune, Spotify

Even though they won’t be streaming Adele’s new album, Spotify is OK in our books. This week, the streaming service announced it will offer its staff up to six months of parental leave with full pay as part of a new global policy. It will also backdate the policy so that its 1,600 worldwide employees with a child born after January 1, 2013 will be eligible for it. Plus, workers will be able to ease back into work with an official “Welcome Back!” program that will allow them to have a more flexible schedule. This puts Spotify in a small group of companies, including Netflix and Amazon, that has really stepped it up in 2015 in terms of parental leave. Read more about it here. All The Trimmings

If you’re hosting Thanksgiving this year or throwing a Friendsgiving, that turkey is going to cost you an extra pretty penny. The average cost of a 10-person Thanksgiving dinner in the U.S. is $50.11, according to the American Farm Bureau Federation (AFBF)—and that’s up 70 cents from last year. Those decorative gourds really add up! In addition to price increases for turkey, stuffing, and pie shells, we also had the Great Pumpkin Shortage of October 2015, which means prices are up for cans of that, too. Anyone got an extra coupon? [Related: 6 Tips for Making the Most of Airport Travel This Thanksgiving]

Heels of Strength

Although many of us struggle to walk in high heels, we may want to work on that, because it turns out they’re one of our greatest sources of protection. That’s the logic behind a new type of exercise class—teaching women to fight while wearing their stilettos. (The idea is that you’re able to defend yourself no matter what you’re wearing.) Avital Zeisler, 26, a former ballerina and assault victim, is the woman behind this new self-defense class and has trained celebrities like Amanda Seyfried as well as members of the military. “A few really simple, powerful moves can get you out of any situation,” Lydia Billings, an attendee of the class, told The New York Times. We’re into it. [Related: The Ultimate Guide to Entrepreneurship]

One of the first governors to say he would refuse Syrian refugees was challenged to name one problem with the vetting process. He couldn't. Donald Trump has said he would strongly consider shutting down U.S. mosques -- but Marco Rubio just took itone step further. The idea is depressingly popular with Republican voters. And in entertainment, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 2" is poised to dominate the weekend; it gives us an important, unvarnished window into the real horrors of war.

Richard & Jennifer
A: Using quality, sustainable materials is central to our design ethos. Wishbone's philosophy is to design items so great that they make you consume less overall. We encourage you to buy one, best quality, transformable toy that will take the place of several others that would ultimately break and become landfill. We use robust, long-lasting materials and offer all components as spare parts after purchase. With care and always storing indoors overnight, your wishbone wagon will be the favorite toy for many kids to come.
