Danger Danger

And you thought that one day you got a paper cut at work was rough. Imagine if you actually were putting in your life in danger every day for your job. CareerCast came up with the 10 most dangerous jobs in America for 2016 based on data from U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Center for Disease Control (CDC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration and various trade organizations. Jobs in Healthcare, transportation, civil service agriculture and construction all made it into the top spots. Taxi Driver and Heavy/Tractor-Trailer Truck Driver were both up there as they are prone to more automobile-related accidents. Nursing also made it in the top ten as it is the second-most physically hazardous industry to work in what with all those contagious patients.  Farmers also have it rough with all that livestock. According to CareerCast, “167 agricultural workers lose time on the job due to injuries or illness sustained in the workplace every day.” And speaking of large animals, veterinarians also made it in as when your patient is an animal, things can get a little testy. See the full list here. (Related: The 21 Best Jobs of the Future)

Femme Fatales

Fresh on the heels of the all-female Ghostbusters remake, we’ve now got an all-ladies Ocean’s 11 remake in the works. It is going to be Ocean’s 8 and the cast sounds amazing. Sandra Bullock and Cate Blanchett have already signed on and deals just closed with Anne Hathaway, Rihanna, Helena Bonham Carter, and Mindy Kaling. That’s right. Riri! Well we’d watch this group do just about anything including sitting in a knitting circle drinking Pumpkin Spice Lattes but we’ll take them robbing a casino as well. The question is, who will play the George Clooney character and who will play the Julia Roberts love interest then? Can I get a Hemsworth?! It’s Bread Y’All

And the world just got a little lazier. It can be such a hassle sometimes when you are in a rush to actually go to a restaurant or deli and talk to a human and order food. Well you are in luck. Someone has taken the world’s easiest food to consume and purchase and made it even easier to get. Xavier University in Cincinnati has opened it’s first pizza ATM, America’s first pizza vending machine. It will be open 24 hours a day and will dispense “fresh” pizza to the kids who were too lazy to walk three minutes to one of the 7 dining halls hungry students within three minutes of ordering. The 12-inch pies cost $9 to $10, depending on toppings. The vending machine holds 70 pizzas at a time. Mouth watering. Before you start thinking your college experience was a sham because you had to order your pizza on an app on your phone after a long night of partying like an Amish person, don’t get too upset yet. San Francisco has opened it’s first bread ATM (really bread? These are the most common foods. Why don’t they sell something harder to get and more exotic like Sour Straws?) Le Bread Xpress already operates machines in France, Russia, the UK and China (they aren’t as afraid of bread in those countries as we are.) Now San Fran residents will be able to get a “fresh” baguette in 20 seconds for $4.25. You can literally get bread anywhere, but yeah get it from that vending machine.
